Jonathan Farr is an artist and illustrator currently living in Bristol, U.K and Mexico City. He paints and draws from observation and intuitively from his imagination. He illustrates and writes children's books. He plays the guitar, writes and performs his songs, presently with pianist and drummer Mini, in the Bristol punk-folk band Dogface Sockets, and previously as guitarist in Mexico City punk band Los Armstrings. Jonathan finds inspiration in music, the stuctures, chaos and movement of cities, the weather, the sea, trees, mountains, people's expressions, behaviour and postures, animals (especially cats and dogs), stories and poems, travelling, food, the form and materiality of human bodies, memories and dreams. He has exhibited his work in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Barcelona, Bristol and London in solo and collaborative exhibitions. He accepts commissions and sells prints of his work. All enquiries are very welcome. Contact
